Henley College Coventry took part in Enterprise + Employability Week, the aim of which was to give students the tools needed to gain employment after leaving education – and proved to be a massive success. Many of the Warwickshire’s leading professionals and companies such as Jaguar Land Rover, Warwick University, Penso Ltd, the Heart of England Co-operative Society, Coventry & Warwickshire Chamber of Commerce and Pure Properties carried out mock interviews, stage workshops, seminars and give talks on their businesses and chosen career paths.
We designed and created the ‘Job Pods’ – each one used to carry out the mock interviews, as well as the supporting brand collateral look and feel.
Henley College principal Ray Goy said:
“The Enterprise & Employability Week was a phenomenal success and everyone at Henley College is delighted. We had informative talks from the region’s leading professionals, seminars and workshops on CV writing skills and interview techniques as well as some really fun, but productive activities from a range of different industries and sectors. We would like to thank all the employers who came in to help us and gave up their valuable time. The students all had a fantastic week and really learned a lot from the event. The response we have received from the students is that they feel much more confident and equipped to follow their chosen careers paths following this week of activities. Our first Enterprise & Employability Week, was such a success we will be looking to make it an annual event so that we can continue to provide this valuable experience to all our future students.”
The initiative also prompted the Prime Minister to praise it as ‘fantastic – a real credit to the college’ as he gave his full support to the campaign.
