With the shift to digital from traditional print ever more prevalent, digital media specialists are taking the reigns and pushing the boundaries in rich content on mobile devices and tablets. Codex are one such company – its team of experienced designers and developers embracing the excitement and quirks of the digital age, and needed an identity to match them. We set up the concept, identity, social media branding, HTML email templates and website – all the essentials of a new brand.
Borne from the Chemical Code stable, the concept is a play on the parent brands name – with the dual meaning of Code x (code multiplied / to the power of) and Codex (a compendium of work). The icon itself represents the dynamic, multi layered facets of digital publishing, with the colour palette and simple illustrations offering a fresh, forward thinking approach.
But hey, aside from the brand waffle, it looks pretty smart too!
