Recruitment Industry Disability Initiative Awards 2018

The winners awards were handed out in London last week (15th March 2018) at the annual event celebrating the progress companies and public sector organisations have made in promoting employment for the disabled and reducing the disability employment gap within their organisation. Chemical Code have been involved in the RIDI awards for the last 3 years and this year we designed and produced all of the marketing requirements including the brochure, the awards, certificates, social and website content as well as pre event marketing promoting the deadline for entering the awards.

Accessible Winners Brochure 

The brochure this year was not printed, instead it was made available via the RIDI website as a download and was designed and developed to be an accessible pdf.

Featuring a forward from Sarah Newton, Minister for Disabled People Health & Work, information about the organisation, the sponsors (of which we are one) and judging panel before covering each of the individual awards and of course the winners.

We have an experienced team of designers who understand the ins and outs accessible work, meaning we don’t need to dumb down our creative to achieve Adobe validation. Find out more here.


We also assisted with the creation of some of the sponsor adverts within the main brochure. Again applying our accessible standards knowledge and adapting the supplied content to ensure it meets validation as well as adhering to brand guidelines.

The RIDI Website

We designed and built the RIDI website a couple of years ago, it is fully accessible and you can read all about that project here. The website provided all of the entry requirements as well as being used to collate the actual award entries themselves. 

The Awards

To support the actual awards evening we produced a number of requirements, ranging from the actual awards given to the winners, the certificates handed out to all of the nominees, an event handout showing the order of events, pull ups to brand the venue and an animated video which featured all of the sponsors, winners and soundbites from some of the judging team.

Getting Social

Big Voice Communications are responsible for organising and running the RIDI Awards and we provided them with a number of graphics and templates prior to the event to enable them to promote the event via social media, email and internal comms slides.
