Design and delivery of targeted marketing campaigns for Volvo dealers across the UK

The Motability Scheme provides a simple way to lease a new car without the worry of owning and running one. Across the UK over 640,000 disabled people and their families benefit from the worry-free mobility available throughout the Scheme.

A personalised letter and supporting leaflet promoting the latest Motability offers across the Volvo range was designed by Chemical Code and distributed by Target Auto to customers in designated postcode areas who were eligible to change their vehicles.

This campaign returned great results with one Essex based dealer selling five vehicles within the first week and receiving a large number of enquiries. This campaign is now being rolled out every quarter across multiple Volvo dealers throughout the UK. 

Designed to appeal to women who are looking for a car with exceptional safety features, Chemical Code created a direct mailer for the Volvo V40 which was tailor-made in collaboration with Target Auto.

The Volvo V40 has recently been awarded the safest car ever tested by Euro NCAP and we included this as a USP as well as creating straplines like ‘Built with everyone’s safety in mind’ and ‘Relax, you’re in a Volvo’. This mailer was distributed to multiple Volvo dealers across the UK.

Chemical Code supported Volvo dealerships to promote the launch of the new Volvo XC90. For this event we created a double sided mailer combined with a personalised letter that were sent to potential customers in a custom printed envelope.

After the XC90 won the Auto Trader Car of the Year award, we created collateral for multiple dealers to celebrate the award. We created a mailer which offered a test drive of the XC90 that was specifically tailored to each dealers requirements including a chance to win a one-night hotel break in exchange for a test drive. These were sent out by Target Auto to existing customers looking to upgrade their car. We also to created a bespoke ‘wedding style’ invitation to a test drive event. This time it was aimed specifically at Managing Directors. We gave the invite a typographical treatment and each one was sent out in silver envelopes that were wax sealed to give a sense of exclusivity.

We created a promotion for Camping & Caravanning Club members – giving them exclusive access to some tasty offers. Chemical Code designed a mailer to promote the offers across the XC60, XC70 and XC90 range – the perfect vehicles for humping around your camping gear and family!

Targeted specifically for Volvo Selekt Used Car Events, Volvo’s dealers can choose a used car event package which can be specifically tailored to assist them in promoting their specific offers available across their Volvo range.

We created a series of marketing materials including a direct mailer, local advertisements, indoor and outdoor displays, windscreen flashes and an email campaign.

We have also created the concept of an ‘Event in a Box‘ to appeal to Volvo dealers who need a cost effective solution which is managed for them. A personalised letter and email campaign are created as part of the package which are then fully-customised to allow the dealer to invite customers to their sales event.

We continue to work alongside Volvo dealerships consistently delivering cost effective and quick turnarounds for collateral for new car launches, exclusive test drives and sales events throughout the UK.
